Hailing from the Mile-High city, Denver Colorado, Wax Eloquent is the hip-hop duo of rapper/songwriter Ormus Lepht and producer Greyscale 10. After honing their craft in the Denver music scene for over a decade as members of the Hip-Hop band Surmen, their experience and eclectic musical influences have shaped them into new forms, collectively Wax Eloquent: conscience, melodic and deeply personal abstract hip-hop that delves into subjects ranging from political and social injustices to poetic descriptions of vast dreamscapes. Ormus Lepht’s pension for metaphor, wordplay and alliteration combined with Greyscale 10’s affinity for jazz and punk music and their mutual appreciation for art has led the duo into many sub-genres. Together they are entering a new phase in their musical explorations as they are poised to return to the stage in their new incarnation.
